About Hvar

Old Town Apartments Tonka is located in the center of the town Hvar. Hvar is one of the biggest islands in Croatia where the town Hvar is the biggest town on the island. The island is characterized by the medieval buildings but also the crystal clear water. There are also vineyards where local wine is produced. 

The port is the center of Hvar where you can see luxury yachts and sailing boats from all over the world aswell as local fishing boats. There are cafes and restaurants along the dock where you can sit and enjoy and take in the atmosphere. In the town's cozy alleys there are many small shops and restaurants. 

The quiet city during the day comes alive at night and offers a rich nightlife with many bars and clubs. With a taxi boat you can get to the beach club "carpe diem" and have drinks by the beach under the pine trees.
